The legendary hut evening in Oberweissbach is a classic fixture among the weekly events in Waidring, where you can enjoy a rustic cabin atmosphere on Wednesdays in winter and on Thursdays in the summer months. Live music and hearty Tyrolean cooking all add to the cheery mood. The culinary highlight of a hut evening are the “Ripperl” (pork cutlets), and you can also order a wide range of à la carte dishes and drinks.

Dinner by candlelight

We organise the popular candlelit dinners in the winter with fine cuisine and a walk by torchlight. The torchlight walk starts in the valley in the winter, and we all walk up to Oberweissbach for dinner. In the summer, we have dinner first and then walk by the glow of the torches to the “Seeleuchten” fireworks on the Pillersee lake.

The “Tartar’s hat”

The original barbecue fun at the table! Food cooked on the “Tartarenhut” is similar to the famous raclette dish. Small cuts of beef, port and turkey are grilled on the conical heated metal surface shaped like a Tartar’s hat. The brim of the hat contains a bouillon with vegetables cut into strips, which is enhanced by the juices of the grilled meat dripping down from the hat itself; it tastes simply delicious, with the addition of baked potatoes, French fries, garlic bread, home-made sauces and salad. The Tartar’s hat event takes place in the summer and winter every Saturday from 6.00 pm. Please book a table in advance.

“Music on the Mountain”

The "Musik am Berg – Music on the Mountain" event is held in the most beautiful huts on Wednesdays and Fridays from 1.00-4.30 pm in the summer months, and organised by the Pillerseetal Tourist Office. The traditional “Fuchs Buam” group will entertain you with some lively music as we serve you with hearty Tyrolean cuisine.
